Balazs Halmos MD is Professor of Oncology and Associate Director of Clinical Research at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center where he also serves as Section Chief of Thoracic/Head and Neck Oncology. He graduated from Semmelweis University in Budapest, Hungary and completed his oncology training at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and obtained a MS in Clinical Research degree from Harvard University, Boston, MA. Since then has served on the faculties of Harvard, Case Western and Columbia Universities. His work has principally focused on translational cancer biology with a focus on oncogenic alterations and acquired resistance in non-small cell lung cancer, clinical studies and biomarker correlates of novel immunotherapies and more recently on the impact of Covid-19 on patients with a cancer diagnosis.
